Crunchy Macadamia Black Forest Parfaits Alohamacs Dark

Black Forest Cake is an iconic dessert, especially perfect for when cherries are at their peak. In this version, the classic combination of chocolate, cherries, and whipped cream gets a major upgrade with crunchy Dark Chocolate AlohaMacs; they add delightful texture, delicious macadamia flavor, and even more chocolatey goodness. These parfaits come together in less than ten minutes with no cooking required and the recipe can easily be multiplied.

Ingredient List:

(makes four dessert-sized portions; multiply as needed)

2 brownies, homemade or store-bought

1 c fresh cherries (red, yellow, or a mixture of both)

1⁄2 c whipping cream

1⁄2 tsp vanilla

8 Hawaiian Host Dark Chocolate AlohaMacs

Directions:

1. Chop the brownies into small cubes and divide the cubes between four small, elegant serving glasses.
2. Remove the pits from the cherries and cut the cherries in half, then scatter them on top of the brownie pieces.
3. Using a hand-mixer or a whisk, whip the cream until soft peaks form, adding the vanilla toward the end of the process. Dollop whipped cream on top of each parfait.
4. Chop the AlohaMacs coarsely into uneven, bite-sized pieces. Scatter the chopped Aloha Macs across the top of each parfait, then serve immediately.
